About Moses Kalyango
Moses Kalyango is an animal, climate and human rights advocate from Kyotera District, Uganda. He is the Plant Based Treaty campaigner for Uganda and the founder of Kyotera Vegan Care Foundation (KVCF) He recently opened the Paul and Bucky Sanctuary in Kyotera,Uganda.
Born from a vegan background, Moses realized his passion for animal welfare, climate and human rights at a young age and has pursued this noble goal ever since.
His climate activism started about 5 years back. He grew up surrounded by forest which nurtured her love for nature.
However the forest was slowly cleared and as he mourned, he got inspired to plant trees.
Moses's activism is infused with a profound dedication to protecting non-human animals and their habitats. With over 10 years of experience, Moses's impact transcend borders; he has trained over a thousand animal rights advocates across Africa, sharing best practices in handling animal crime cases and developing essential legal resources to support their efforts.
Moses's expertise spans advocacy, training and research making him a leading voice in animals rights advocacy.
Moses has participated in various animal welfare conferences adding a brick on the wall for the improvement and implementation of the the best animal welfare policies across the globe.
Recently, Moses has also attended the United Nations Environment Assembly.
